Get in touch with nature at one of the most unique areas in the world. Yellowstone National Park, known for natural beauty and abundant wildlife, is especially amazing in the winter. We begin our unforgettable journey west today with our flight to Jackson. We check into our hotel in Jackson for a 5 night stay. Dinner is included this evening. (D)

This morning we’ll have free time in Jackson. This afternoon we marvel at the beautiful scenery on our horse-drawn sleigh ride through the Jackson Hole Elk Refuge. The refuge is home to 10,000 elk in their natural surroundings. (D)

Early this morning we board our comfortable “snowcoach” for a full day of touring. As we make our way to Yellowstone National Park we travel north 60-miles traveling through Grand Teton National Park. Have your cameras ready for views of these majestic mountains and possible wildlife sightings. Once inside Yellowstone National Park, we travel 45 miles of groomed trail to Old Faithful, making several stops along the way, with opportunities to get out and walk around. Wildlife seems to be everywhere with wolves hunting and playing, bison dusted with snow, and elk by the thousands. Points of interest may include Moose Falls, Lewis Canyon, Lewis Falls, and West Thumb Geyser Basin. There will be a stop at Old Faithful to watch the eruption and have lunch. Our guide will reveal Yellowstone’s secrets as we keep our eyes open for amazing wildlife. This is a day you will never forget! (L)

Use these two days to enjoy this winter wonderland as you please. You might choose to simply relax and take in the stunning mountain views or take an optional tour for an additional cost. Jackson offers a variety of winter activities. Information on the optional tours provided by Christian Tours, including half and full day snowmobiling and dog sledding, will be provided before the tour departure.
